After COP26: managers discuss climate targets online
Our challenge
Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, the originally planned two-day face-to-face event with just under 130 managers has to be held as a much shorter online version for safety reasons. The content will focus on the future of society and approaches to achieving the climate targets and how the Heat business area can make the best possible contribution to this.
Our solution
From the outset, inspiranten also designed the meeting with a hybrid and an online-only option in order to be prepared for all eventualities. Nevertheless, the large face-to-face location has to be changed once again for cost reasons and the content has to be significantly streamlined due to the shorter duration of the event. The broadcast location is once again Old Smithy’s Dizzle in Berlin, which will be transformed into a TV studio with a large green screen and extensive technical equipment.
As in the previous year, the programme will be hosted by the charming presenter Susi Herzberger. Business trainer Rachel Brooker invites participants to join in with a stretch & relax session during the virtual coffee break.
High-calibre discussion partners from science and industry joined the new head of the Business Area, Ulrika Jardfelt, for a controversial debate on achieving the climate targets and other specific potential contributions from Vattenfall. After an inspiring presentation by futurologist Max Thinius, the participants discuss desirable future scenarios in smaller groups led by representatives of the management team. As in previous years, inspiranten is the lead agency responsible for the overall programme and implementation of the meeting.
Our success
The response to the repeated online meeting and the controversial contributions has been consistently positive, the discussions about the future have stimulated reflection and increased the desire for change. However, the desire to finally attend a face-to-face event again and meet colleagues remains unbroken among participants and the agency.
