Stadtwärme FM – online radio in sound and vision over three days

Our challenge

The Employee Days for all employees of Vattenfall Wärme Berlin, which take place every two years over two days, are to be realized as an online version for the first time in 2021. The inspiranten prevail with their concept and are awarded the contract for the content, technical and logistical implementation of the event, which is to take place once over three days for up to 1,800 participants.

Our solution

The inspiranten put on a three-hour program as a radio show in sound and vision with the well-known Berlin radioeins radio presenters Sven Oswald and Daniel Finger. The broadcast takes place in a studio set up especially for this purpose with several stage areas in Old Smithy’s Dizzle, a backyard location.

The three-hour, packed morning program consists of a colorful mix of pre-produced outside reports, recorded and live interviews with company representatives, strategic updates from various company divisions and all the other elements that make a radio show stand out – news, weather, traffic, advertising and jingles are specially composed and tailored to the client’s corporate content. Anitra Eggler, digital expert and web veteran, provides support with well-dosed inspirational snacks on how to use digital tools and inhibitors.
The lunch program consists of exercise and cooking in the form of a live workout to loosen up and relax, followed by a pre-produced cooking event with the head chef of the Regent Berlin Klaus Beckmann.

The afternoon program follows on seamlessly and offers a total of 18 half-hour information workshops, which were selected in advance and were all held by project managers from the company’s own ranks.

A SharePoint page set up specifically for this purpose provides orientation in advance and, in addition to targeted postings on the intranet, successively reveals further details about the planned event to employees.

Our success

The unique online edition of the Employee Days is a sight and sound to behold and has been at least as well received as the previous face-to-face events of recent years; there have been numerous positive reactions and interested enquiries about the format and the organisers throughout the company. The tightly organised and packed programme is perceived as varied and entertaining, not least thanks to the witty moderation of the two well-known radio presenters.

In total, more than 1,000 employees were reached during the three days of the event and at least another 600 watched the recordings of the Stadtwärme FM mornings. Weeks later, the SharePoint page is still very popular with interested employees who want to find out more about the programme and the projects presented.
